Q) Wow…is Kepler really as good as it sounds?

A) It’s better. J Kepler’s small size, high academic standards, integrated curriculum, and team-teaching approach provides the highest quality educational experience available.

Q) Does the distance learning model really work?
A) Distance learning requires discipline and the ability to work in social isolation a good part of the time. However, it does work quite effectively in conjunction with the symposium each term, which provides the classroom time and interaction with other students. The material is presented in the best way to prepare for the symposium time, where the classroom sessions expand and develop the material so that the post-symposium time can be used to deepen the student’s understanding.

Q) Why do we have to take a whole YEAR of history? Isn’t this an astrology school?
A) No, actually it’s not. This is a 4-year college that will grant you a degree in Liberal Arts, which means that the Kepler curriculum must provide the required amounts of history, science, mathematics, literature, etc. that constitute a college education. All the material is presented with a recognition and respect for astrology, and there are 4 terms of instruction in a wide variety of astrological technique, so you will come out with a solid astrological education. The beauty of Kepler is that your astrological education will be firmly embedded in a high-quality liberal arts education, giving your astrology a cultural and intellectual foundation.

Q) How hard is the work?
A) Obviously your mileage may vary – all students come into college at their own level. The amount of reading, writing, and assignments are all fairly normal for a full-time undergraduate education at any small private college. You will need to be able to write at a beginning college level, as you will have papers assigned in your first few weeks of most terms, before you visit the symposium.

Q) What good is a degree in astrology? What can I do with this education?
A) Many Kepler students intend to pursue a career closely related to astrology, whether it is private practice, teaching, writing, or other avenues. However, your Kepler education will provide you with the basic critical thinking, writing, and study skills to benefit you in any career pursuit!
